Working with RickerTime
What to Expect
From your first call to your first federal contract — here's exactly how the process works, step by step.
No surprises. No runaround.
Government contracting has a reputation for being complicated, slow, and confusing. That's exactly why RickerTime exists — to cut through the noise and get you certified and competing as fast as possible.
Here's what the journey looks like when you work with us.
Free 30-Minute Discovery Call
Day 1We start with a quick call to understand your business, your goals, and which certifications you qualify for. No sales pitch — just an honest assessment of where you stand and what's possible.
You'll know exactly which certifications to pursue and what the timeline looks like.
Document Collection & Review
Days 2–5We'll send you a clear checklist of everything needed — business formation docs, financials, ownership records, and more. You gather them; we review and flag anything that needs attention before submission.
Your application package is complete, accurate, and ready to submit.
SAM.gov Registration
Days 3–7If you're not already registered in SAM.gov, we handle it. This is the federal contractor database — every business must be active here before pursuing any government work. We navigate the system so you don't have to.
Active SAM.gov registration with your CAGE code and UEI number confirmed.
Certification Application Submission
Week 2We prepare and submit your certification application — whether that's WOSB, SDVOSB, 8(a), HUBZone, or a combination. Every form is completed correctly the first time to avoid delays and rejection.
Application submitted with confirmation. We track its status so you don't have to.
Follow-Up & Agency Responses
Weeks 3–8Certification agencies sometimes request additional documentation or clarification. We handle all follow-up communications on your behalf and respond quickly to keep your application moving.
No delays from missed requests or confusing agency correspondence.
Certification Approved — Now What?
After approvalOnce certified, we help you understand how to use your certification to find and win contracts. We'll walk you through SAM.gov searches, set-aside opportunities, and how to position your business for your first award.
You're certified, visible to contracting officers, and ready to compete.
Typical Timeline
Timelines vary by certification type and agency processing times. SAM.gov registration typically takes 7–10 business days. SBA-managed programs like 8(a) take longer. WBE, MBE, and VBE are non-federal certifications that open doors to state, local, and corporate supplier diversity opportunities.
State & supplier diversity — not a federal set-aside program
Corporate supplier diversity (NMSDC) — not a federal set-aside program
Veteran Business Enterprise — state & supplier diversity, not a federal set-aside program
